The brain and the heart have totally different ways of responding to situations and dilemmas and it can feel like a war is raging within us. Learning to connect them can create peace and serenity and result in us making decisions we are in alignment with.
You may never know who sees you as a role model. Be a good example for them and for those that will emulate them.
Often it's so much easier to let things be just as they are. Even if we are unhappy or unhealthy at least it is a discomfort that we are familiar with, and the thought of choosing something different can be scary and overwhelming. After all, it has been drummed into our heads that change is difficult. But not changing is a choice that will have consequences which we will be responsible for creating.
What choices are you making and what are the possible consequences you will face by not changing? Maybe we become ill and that closes the door on our poor lifestyle habits. Maybe we lose our job and that opens up more time for new opportunities in our life. Maybe we lose a relationship only for a better one to come in. What door needs closing in your life and are you willing to close it yourself?
