There is a beautiful practice in Buddhism called tonglen meditation. In it you take in the suffering of others and you send out relief. To help you relate to others you can think of your own suffering. For instance, if you want to relieve the suffering of those who are hungry, you can remember a time when you were hungry, this will help to connect you. This is a short explanation and a brief tonglen meditation led by Pema Chodron. Easy isn't necessarily the best way and it doesn't foster growth. Step up, accept the challenge, overcome all those obstacles and celebrate your victories.

While I don't believe that we are the cause of everything that occurs in our lives, I do believe that we have a role in creating many of the dilemma and situations we find ourselves in. Taking responsibility removes us from the victim role by giving us the power to direct our lives.
Believe that everything will work out exactly as it is supposed to, and that leave you open to all possibilities and attached to none.
