Don't only teach someone younger but learn from them too. Be willing to see things from a new perspective.

Look at little children, they are fascinated by the world, the "why" questions never cease, they are on an adventure. Bring some of this into your life, get excited, do something different or take a walk somewhere new. Changing your daily routine can wake you up, boost your energy and make you feel more alive.
Several years ago, before I created CCC Inspire I made this wall collage so that each morning and night I would see positive messages. It's important to surround yourself with people, places, messages (books, podcasts, memes) that inspire and empower you to be your best self.
Become aware of those treasures, often they are things we are taking for granted like good health, a warm, comfy house, plenty of food, a car, a job, feeling safe, a hot cup of coffee in the morning, family, friends - and the list goes on and on. Write them down or spend a few minutes identifying them and allow your heart to open in thanks and gratitude.
Happy Thanksgiving. Like it or not, we are all in this together and our survival is dependent upon respect, compassion and cooperation.
Food, drugs, alcohol, exercise, games, shopping, gambling, gossiping, workaholic, sex, television - pick your escape route. We numb ourselves so that we can't feel the fear, pain, guilt and shame and in so doing we dull our light. Look into your own darkness, rip the band aid off so that you can embrace your whole being.
Allowing someone to follow their own unique path can be challenging. It's easy to get angry and frustrated when we think we know what is best for someone yet we can't get them to listen and heed our advice. But we can not know what experiences they need to have in order to grow and reach fulfillment. We can love them - sometimes up close and sometimes from a safe distance, but it is up to them to "save" themselves.
Isn't it true that when you are rushing, more obstacles seem to pop up - you can't find your car keys, you hit a detour, you drop and break something - it's like the universe picks up on your chaotic, stressed energy and throws it right back at you.
Start with your breathing - slow, deep breaths with a longer exhale tell your brain all is well. Be in the moment and fully focused on what you are doing and you will find you will feel better. Relax and release.
This morning, while on my walk, I had my music on shuffle and this beautiful song played and I wanted to share it with you. No matter where you are, find the magnificence.
So Much Magnificence - Deva Premal and Miten (and the video is quite beautiful too) There is a statement in the Bhagavad Gita that basically states - do your work/duty without worrying about the results. Treat kindness this way - be kind without looking for anything in return, make the act itself be the reward.
The goal is to teach people and to give them the tools they need to become more self sufficient. Being able to do for yourself is empowering, it builds self esteem and it gives a sense of security knowing that you can rely on yourself. So think about this next time you are helping someone and see if you can't offer something that helps them to gain more independence.
