Research suggests that we have up to 70,000 thoughts per day. And while many of these thoughts will just pop into our minds, we get to choose which ones to focus on and these will determine how we experience life.

Life lives in your perception - a tiny shift. from discontent to gratitude, from appreciating what you have rather than what you don't, from viewing change as an adventure rather than as something to fear, changes your entire experience of the event. Spend time getting to know yourself, the way you think - your prejudices, your beliefs, your internal messages that have been on replay maybe for decades - all of these determine how you look and process things. Change these and change your world.
In honor of Wayne Dyer (May 10, 1940 - August 30, 2015) You may never see the effects of your actions but that doesn't mean that they have no effect. From picking up a piece of trash, smiling at someone, letting a car merge in easily...it all matters, it all counts.
Expectations can leave you feeling disappointed, slighted or angry while appreciation brings a feeling of abundance and gratitude.
Not only is this a great way to become a better person but what a wonderful way to honor those we love.
Even though you may understand, on an intellectual level, that failure is a natural part of learning, it can still be a blow to your ego. The key is to offset the "failures" with rewards for accomplishments in other areas. In this way you are strengthening your self esteem so that it is able to bounce back while you are still in learning mode.
Don't get caught up in the game of "I will be happy when....". Find something to be grateful for today and the happiness will follow.
Live now! Look at things and people like you are seeing them for the first time, try to notice something new. See the intricacies in all of life and be amazed. Live in awe.
Life is not about going from day to day, just passing time, it is about living, about feeling alive. Shake yourself out of mundaneness and say yes to all the vibrancy and color life has to offer. Try new things, think new thoughts, meet new people, step out a little closer to the edge and feel the energy of being fully awake.
Don't just go along because it's easier or because you want to fit in. Find your own path, embrace your own truth, make your own way.
